How will GTAs know that they receive the correct payments for accrued holiday?

The King's Teachers platform will capture the value of holiday pay as it is accrued.  This will be calculated based on the hours of work submitted each week. GTAs, as with other employees, can take their annual leave at any point (preferably on non-teaching days). There will be a 'clear down' process to pay employees if they have any unused holiday.  This will ensure it is paid once the assignment is finished. Annual leave will be paid at the end of assignment and will be processed at the end of the following month.  For example, if an assignment finishes in October, the unused holiday pay will be paid in November.

You can view the amount of holiday that you have accrued by going to your payroll menu. Under the holiday requests tab in your payroll menu.

From here you can see all the accrued holiday for each of your assignments. It will show the assignment number, the number of hours accrued and the pay rate for that assignment.

What happens to my holiday if I don't request it before my assignment ends?

All remaining accrued annual leave will be paid at the end of the following month after your assignment has ended, i.e. if an assignment ends in April, you will receive the accrued annual leave payment at the end of May.
